What Is the Fortnite Thunderbolts Collaboration?
Fortnite and Marvel have worked together many times before. From Spider-Man to Wolverine, we’ve seen many heroes join the battle royale. Now, with Thunderbolts releasing on May 2, Epic Games is bringing characters from the film into the game.
Though news about this started from leakers, Epic has officially confirmed the collab. So it’s 100% real, and it’s happening soon!
Who’s Coming to Fortnite from Thunderbolts?
Two main characters will be added to the game:
- Yelena Belova (also called White Widow)
- Bucky Barnes (also known as the Winter Soldier)
Both characters will have a cel-shaded look, just like some of the comic book-style skins we’ve seen before (like Deadpool and Wolverine). This art style makes them look like they’ve jumped straight out of a comic!
The skins will arrive on April 30, just days before the movie’s release.
What Else Is Included?
Here’s what’s part of the Thunderbolts bundle:
- 2 Skins (White Widow and Winter Soldier)
- 2 Pickaxes
- 2 Back Blings
- 2 Weapon Wraps
- 2 Emotes
Each hero will get their own full set. And yes, there will be a bundle available for players who want everything.
Get a Free Skin in the Thunderbolts Cup
Here’s something cool you can unlock the White Widow skin early and for free!
Join the Thunderbolts Cup on April 25, which is a Duos tournament. The top teams in each region will unlock the skin before it hits the item shop.
Even if you don’t place at the top, you can still earn free rewards just by playing:
- White Widow Wrap – Score 40 points
- Winter Soldier Wrap – Score 8 points
How to Earn Points in the Cup
The Cup lets you play up to 10 matches during a 3-hour window. Here’s how the points work:
- Victory Royale: 65 points
- Each Elimination: 2 points
- High placements also give extra points
For example, if you win a match with 10 kills, you get 85 points in that game. So, good teamwork and smart plays can really help you unlock those rewards.
