Jeju Dream Tower, a major integrated resort in South Korea operated by Lotte Tour, has reported a strong increase in casino revenue for March 2025. The casino earned KRW 32.50 billion ($22.1 million) for the month, marking a 46.5% rise compared to the same period last year.
Casino Revenue on the Rise
According to a Korea Exchange filing, the casino’s revenue also grew by 43.7% compared to February 2025. Table games played a major role in this success, bringing in KRW 30.93 billion, which is a 46.3% increase from last year and a 49.3% jump from February.
Gaming machines also performed well, generating KRW 1.57 billion in March, up 50.4% from the same month in 2024. However, this was a slight drop of 17.4% from February 2025.
Hotel Revenue Declines
While the casino sector performed well, Jeju Dream Tower’s hotel revenue saw a decline. The resort reported hotel revenue of KRW 4.1 billion in March, which is 25.3% lower than last year and a 9% drop from January.
First-Quarter Performance
Looking at the first three months of 2025, Jeju Dream Tower’s total casino revenue reached KRW 84.54 billion. This represents a 20.8% increase from the first quarter of 2024. However, hotel revenue for the same period stood at KRW 14.09 billion, showing a 15.9% decline from last year.
Growth of South Korea’s Gaming Industry
South Korea’s casino industry has shown significant growth in recent years. Paradise Co, a leading foreigner-only casino operator in the country, also recorded a 10.2% increase in annual casino revenue for 2024. Jeju Dream Tower has played a key role in this success by attracting a large number of international tourists.
About Jeju Dream Tower
Jeju Dream Tower is the tallest building in Jeju, standing 38 floors high at 169 meters. The resort features a casino with around 150 gaming tables and 300 slot machines. It also offers a retail mall, 14 restaurants and bars, an outdoor pool deck, a top-floor sky deck, two spas, and a luxurious hotel.
The casino was originally located at Lotte Hotel Jeju but was moved to Jeju Dream Tower in June 2021. The facility now covers 5,000 square meters and includes 141 gaming tables, 190 slot machines, and 71 electronic table games.
