Search And Destroy Mode In Black Ops 7 Beta- What is the talk all about?

  • Search and destroy is one of those modes in a game that are fan favorites with a strong legacy attached to it in the Call of Duty franchise. It is not just a random mode; the hype exists because it lives up to it. It is a battlefield where players can expect strategy, precision, and clutch plays.
  • Despite what the mods may be saying, Matt Scorce’s recent X post claimed otherwise. It reads – “Confirming that we do see the requests for Search and Destroy in the #BlackOps7 Beta. That’s all I will say for now.”
  • Ever since, the fans of the game have been insistent in their demand for Search and Destroy to be added in the beta version of the upcoming game. From the tweet by Treyarch’s Design Director, one thing is for sure: fans can expect to see  Search and Destroy in the beta version of Black Ops 7.

Currently, there are 5 modes in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. If Search and Destroy is added by the devs, it will make it a total of 6 modes.

Search and Destroy Mode in Black Ops 7 in the Call of Duty universe works like this :

  • Two Teams – One of the two teams needs to defuse the bomb, and the job of the other team is to detonate it. There is an intense face-off between the two teams.
  • No Unlimited Respawns – There are no unlimited respawns in the game, unlike in other multiplayer games. If you die in the game, your team loses a player and will have to play without you.
  • Higher Stakes – Both teams have to take turns, and the team with the most wins in total wins the game.

Though the Search and Destroy mode is not confirmed as of now, there are strong hints of its comeback. The tactical nature of S&D offers players a more varied gameplay experience.

Adding S&D even as a part of the beta version would allow Treyarch to test balancing, various bomb site placements, and round timers based on the feedback of the real-time community of fans.
