Record-Breaking 30,000 Attendees Expected at SBC Summit in Lisbon

Lisbon is about to get busier than ever as SBC Summit returns next week, bringing with it a record-breaking 30,000 delegates. That’s a 20% increase from last year, making this the largest edition yet. Alongside the growth, the event will introduce exciting new features that dive into today’s top industry challenges while keeping the spotlight on networking, hospitality, and memorable experiences.

More Global Than Ever

Attendees from more than 130 countries will gather, giving this year’s Summit its widest international reach so far. New stages dedicated to Global and Emerging Markets will showcase opportunities across Africa, Latin America, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America. Regional networking hubs will also help participants make meaningful connections within specific markets.

Keynotes, Icons, and New Academies

The speaker lineup is packed with star power. Gary Vaynerchuk, Randi Zuckerberg, and a roster of sporting greats will headline keynotes. This year also marks the debut of Tech Academies, offering hands-on sessions in AI, blockchain, gamification, and marketing to give delegates practical knowledge they can put to use.

A Showcase on the Expo Floor

Covering 135,000 square metres, the expo floor will feature 700 exhibitors organised into themed zones for easy navigation. Visitors can also explore lounges, interactive experiences, and nine Food Festival areas with more than 40 food and drink choices. Exhibitors include 1xBet, Altenar, Amusnet, Clever Advertising, Digitain, EveryMatrix, GR8 Tech, iGP, Kaizen Gaming, Optimove, PayFuture, Smartsoft, Soft2Bet, and Stake.

Adding some star appeal, the floor will welcome appearances from artist Jordan Dawson, actress and influencer Margarida Corceiro, and football legends Cafu, Marco Materazzi, Claude Makélélé, and Marek Hamšík.

A Focus on What Matters Most

Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC, commented: “We are looking forward to SBC Summit returning to Lisbon next week. Last year was a huge success and taught us a lot, especially when it comes to what really connects with delegates.

This year, we focused on the topics that matter most, from adding new stages covering global and emerging markets to dedicated academies on AI and marketing. And of course, some super star appearances to add that iconic SBC flair.

A Packed Conference Agenda

Over 550 industry experts will speak across six stages, nearly half of them C-level executives. Key themes include affiliation, player protection, and the latest advances in technology, martech, and payments, with the Payment Expert Summit rounding out the programme.

The iconic Super Stage returns to the MEO Arena, featuring big names from sport, including Oleksandr Usyk, Rubens Barrichello, and football heroes like Kaká, Edwin van der Sar, Roberto Carlos, Michael Owen, and Petr Čech.

There will also be a high-powered “Super CEO Panel” with Daniel Taylor (CEO International, Flutter International), Neal Menashe (CEO, Super Group), Joanne Whittaker (CEO, Betfred), Jesper Svensson (CEO, Betsson Group,) and Simon Lidzén (CEO & Co-founder, Fast Track).

Celebrations, Awards and Networking Nights

When the day’s sessions wrap up, the evenings promise plenty of energy. On Wednesday, 17 September, the brand-new Affiliate Leaders Awards will recognise standout brands in the affiliate space. The following night, Peter Schmeichel will host the 12th SBC Awards, celebrating achievements across payments, platforms, data, and marketing.

This year’s Affiliate Leaders Summit will also be the biggest yet, with a 40% larger show floor and three days of content designed to connect affiliates with operator programmes.

Parties, Music, and Charity

The social side of the Summit is bigger than ever. From the Opening Party at Urban Beach with DJ sets from Joel Corry and Imanbek to the INFINITY Lisbon Closing Party featuring ALOK and Timmy Trumpet, delegates will have plenty of chances to celebrate.

The week kicks off with the Legends Charity Game on Monday, 15 September, where Portugal Legends face World Legends in a match set to raise over €1 million for charities.

Special Extras for Delegates

This year also brings new conveniences and opportunities for participants:

  • Airport Registration: Pick up your badge at Lisbon Airport (14–17 September).

  • SBC Connect App: Network, schedule meetings, and track your sessions.

  • Media Headquarters: A dedicated hub for press, interviews, and podcasts.

  • Masterclasses: Deep dives into sportsbook trading, slot design, and Ukrainian regulation.

  • First Pitch Competition: Startups battle for a prize package worth more than €90,000.

Plus, a full schedule of both formal and informal networking events running throughout the week.

A Thank You to the Industry

“SBC Summit 2025 wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of the industry. To our sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, and attendees, thank you for helping us bring to life what has truly become the greatest show in gaming.” Sojmark added.
