Arc Raiders continues to dominate the gaming industry as the popular shooter has now crossed more than 16 million copies sold worldwide. Publisher Nexon officially shared the milestone in its Q1 2026 earnings report, confirming that the game has become the biggest new launch in the company’s history.
The title has been growing rapidly since its release in October 2025. In just the first quarter of 2026 alone, the game sold around 4.6 million copies. By the end of the quarter, total sales had already reached 15.5 million before later crossing the huge 16 million mark.
The success of Arc Raiders has surprised many players because the game entered a highly competitive shooter market filled with major titles.
Arc Raiders Becomes Nexon’s Biggest New Release
Arc Raiders launched on October 30, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S with a price tag of $39.99. Since then, the game has built a massive player base across all platforms.
According to Nexon, Arc Raiders helped push the company’s yearly revenue growth by 188% during Q1 2026. The company generated around ¥59.3 billion, which equals nearly $409 million.
One of the biggest reasons behind this success is player engagement. Nexon revealed that more than half of the active players have already spent over 100 hours inside the game. Overall playtime has now crossed 1.5 billion hours worldwide.
The game has also remained one of the most played titles on Steam for several months.
Strong Growth In Europe And North America
Nexon also confirmed that overseas revenue reached record levels thanks to Arc Raiders.
Revenue from North America and Europe reportedly increased more than four times compared to last year. This shows how strongly the game has connected with western players.
The game’s fast-paced action, survival mechanics, and large sci-fi world have helped it stand out from other multiplayer shooters currently available in the market.
Many players also praised the developers for regularly improving gameplay balance and adding fresh content updates after launch.
China Release Plans Already Underway
Another major update from Nexon is connected to the Chinese gaming market.
The company confirmed that Arc Raiders has received ISBN approval in China. This approval is necessary before any game can officially operate and earn money inside the country.
Publisher Tencent is expected to help run several closed beta tests for the game during 2026.
A China launch could make the game even bigger because the country has one of the world’s largest gaming audiences.
Frozen Trail Update Coming Soon
Nexon also revealed details about the next major update called Frozen Trail, which is planned for release in October.
The update is expected to bring the biggest map added to the game so far. Players will also see new ARC enemy types, improved progression systems, skill tree upgrades, fresh items, and additional gameplay content.
Developers said the update will especially help players who have already completed most of the current content.
Frozen Trail will also explore the deeper story behind ARC machines and the mysteries of the game world. New enemy behavior patterns are expected to make combat more challenging and unpredictable.
More Games From Embark Studios In Development
The future also looks busy for Embark Studios, the studio behind Arc Raiders.
Nexon confirmed that two new games from the studio are already in early development. However, the company did not reveal their names or genres yet.
Even without those details, Arc Raiders has already become one of the biggest success stories in modern multiplayer gaming. With millions of players still active and a huge update arriving later this year, the game’s momentum does not appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
