The last day of SBC Summit Lisbon began with a quick look back at the week. There were the pop-rock night with The Script, appearances by Michael Jordan, Charles Oliveira and Niklas Sule and the winners of the Affiliate Leaders Awards.
Morning: The prediction markets forum opens

The Global Prediction Markets Forum started at 11:15 am at the Myriad Hotel in Lisbon. SBC Insights Director Martyn Elliott opened it and the hall filled so quickly that almost no space was left. Sessions through the day looked at how these products should be classed, who their customers are and how different regions are handling them.
The first panel brought together the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner, the CEO of the Malta Gaming Authority and executives from WagerWire and the law firm GTG. Gibraltar launched the world’s first standalone prediction markets regime earlier this year and Malta has been getting licence applications from operators. WagerWire, a US firm, received its Gibraltar licence just last week.
On the main stages, the theme of the day was Latin America. Panels looked at Brazil’s new ban and the rest of the region, including esports in Peru and Mexico’s post-World Cup market, where operators work under laws that date back to 1947.
Midday: Lisbon is locked in until 2030

SBC founder and CEO Rasmus Sojmark and Lisbon Mayor Carlos Moedas signed a long-term deal. It keeps SBC Summit in Lisbon every year until 2030. The two marked it with a glass of champagne on the show floor.
Afternoon: Sessions on security, fraud and products
A cybersecurity session looked at how cloud services, APIs, payments and identity systems have widened the risks for iGaming firms. A separate session on bonus abuse covered how AI is being used by both fraudsters and operators.

At the day’s press conference, BETBY presented SlotBets, a new product that links slot-style reels to live sports events. Real sports data decides each reel and rounds last 15 seconds.
The First Pitch startup contest also took place. Five finalists each had three minutes to pitch, followed by three minutes of questions from a panel of iGaming investors. The winner was Gmonitor, an AI-powered platform that tracks promotions, games, advertising, rankings and regulation.
The prize package is worth over EUR 100,000. It includes EUR 42,000 of sports, gambling and engagement data, a booth at the 2027 SBC Summit worth EUR 15,000 and EUR 10,000 in AWS credits.
Late afternoon: Matchbook, Kalshi and the closing sessions
Matchbook was on stage to talk about its partnership with ADI Predictstreet, which brought a predictions-style product to UK customers shortly before the World Cup. Kalshi, Crypto.com and Predict Its parent company, Aristotle, also took part in sessions on whether prediction markets count as gambling and what a coming Supreme Court decision could mean. The final panels wrapped up at around 5 pm.

SBC’s team also shared plans for next year. SBC Summit Europe will be held in Amsterdam from April 19 to 21. It will be a conference-first event focused on regulated markets, with regulators invited to attend.
Evening: awards and the closing party
SBC Awards began at 6:30 pm at the MEO Arena, hosted by Dutch football legend Edgar Davids. The week ended with the INFINITY closing party at 8 pm, headlined by DJ Tiesto.
