Formula Legends: A new arcade racing game is coming in 2025 – Will it start a new racing trend?

For racing game fans, 2025 could be a special year. Italian game developer 3DClouds has announced its new arcade-style racing game Formula Legends, which will release later this year on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store).

Easy controls with racing strategy

Formula Legends gives an arcade feel but also includes real racing strategy. Players will have to manage tyre wear, fuel use, damage, and weather changes during the race.

• Tyre and fuel – If you drive too fast, your tyres will wear out and fuel will run low. So, you will need to make pit stops at the right time.

• Weather effects – Rain or changing weather can affect the race, and you will need to adjust your driving.

• Damage system – Mistakes will affect your car’s performance.

• Race techniques – You will need to manage your battery and use slipstream to gain speed.

Racing through motorsport history

3DClouds has added many features inspired by racing history. The game includes old-style cars, tracks, and drivers that true racing fans will enjoy.

• 16 car models – Each model has 7 unique liveries, giving a total of 112 car options.

• 14 tracks, inspired by real historic circuits.

• 200+ fictional drivers, some are tyre experts, some are good in rain.

• Story Mode, where you can relive key moments in Formula racing history.

Custom racing and competition

You can create your own custom races and championships in the game. You can also compete in Time Attack mode and try to reach the global leaderboard. With modding support, you can customize helmets, liveries, and sponsors.

3DClouds has made licensed games before, but Formula Legends is a project close to their heart. Company CEO Francesco Bruschi said, “Race fast and have fun has been our team’s thinking.
