Rainbow Six Siege X marks the most significant update in the history of Ubisoft’s tactical shooter game, Rainbow Six Siege. The new update isn’t a sequel, but a complete transformation on account of the game’s 10th anniversary. The game will introduce new modes, features, and technical upgrades while also retaining the original gameplay experience. Key Features Of Rainbow Six Siege X

Dual Front Mode

The headline addition is Dual Front mode, which is a permanent 6v6 mode on the new District map. Teams can attack and defend sectors at the same time, with two objective points active at all times. For the first time, teams can mix attackers and defenders, and the mode also offers respawning, operator repicking, and time-limited assignments.

Visual and Audio Enhancements

Siege X brings modernised lighting and improved shadows with high-resolution textures and a complete audio change for better awareness.

Gameplay Improvements

Upgraded rappel mechanics allow more fluid movement, including sprinting and turning the corner while rappelling. Destructive items like gas pipes and fire extinguishers add a new tactical layer.

Player Protection

The new R6 ShieldGuard anti-cheat system provides smarter and live updates.

Rainbow Six Siege X Release Date

The Rainbow Six Siege X will be released as a free update on 10 June 2025. The Free Access version includes Standard, Quick Play, and Dual Front modes, while a paid upgrade unlocks ranked mode, additional operators, and progression features.
