There has been a long-standing rivalry between Black Ops and Battlefield for a long time now, and with Battlefield 6 releasing in only 2 days now, the launch is going to be big, and the fans of the game have been excited to play the game and have been eagerly waiting for it ever since the news of its release first came out.
Meanwhile, Activision, in its latest announcement, has stated that a free trial of Black Ops 6 will be released for an entire week in the same week when Battlefield 6 is released, which might just be its strategy to rain on the parade of Battlefield 6.
All the multiplayer modes that include the 40 maps, along with the Zombie maps, will be offered in the free trial of the game.
How does this Impact Battlefield 6’s Release

Black Ops 6 Announces A Free Demo During Battlefield 6’s Launch Week
Though anyone who has been waiting long for Battlefield 6’s Release is unlikely to go for the free trial of Black Ops 6 during the release week of Battlefield 6.
However, the launch of a free trial during the release week of its rival game appears to be a deliberately chosen time period. It could not have been a pure coincidence and might have been done to disrupt the sales of Battlefield 6 because it is only natural that some of the newer gamers might not want to purchase a new game immediately, by offering an alternative shooter experience game.
How this tactic will work cannot be predicted, but the casual gamers might go for the free trial of Call of Duty’s Black Ops 6.
The free trial could, however could remind the gamers of the rich gameplay of Black Ops 6, which might influence some of them, even if temporarily, away from Battlefield 6.
Considering the timing of the release of the free trial of the game from October 9 to October 16, and Battlefield 6’s launch on October 10, there is one more thing to the mix.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7’s Beta Version had recently been extended by a day to be available until October 9, 9 AM.
So, making the free version of its previous games available the very next day of when Black Ops 7’s Beta Version is ending and using Black Ops 6’s content to promote the new version of the game is also a strategy that may just end up capturing the attention of gamers, taking it away, even for a while, from Battlefield 6’s grand launch.
