SBC Summit 2025

If you’re attending SBC Summit 2025, you’ll have the chance to dive deep into Web 3.0 and blockchain, thanks to a new academy built around these fast-moving technologies. It’s a hands-on, interactive experience filled with panels, workshops, and a live session with none other than Gary Vaynerchuk.

The academy is part of SBC’s Tech Academies programme, which includes practical learning tracks in four areas: AI, marketing, Web 3.0 and blockchain, and gamification. All are designed to teach skills that businesses can actually use.

Learn from Industry Leaders and Discover What’s Next

On Wednesday, 17 September, the spotlight turns to the Web 3.0 & Blockchain Academy. This full-day experience will bring together top minds from the Web3 world, including founders, developers, compliance experts, and industry leaders. Through lively discussions and interactive sessions, delegates will see how these technologies are being used today and where they’re headed next.

SBC’s Founder and CEO, Rasmus Sojmark, explained the importance of this shift: “What excites me about Web 3.0 and blockchain is how they let people take back control of things that really matter: data, identity, even finances. Instead of relying on centralised platforms, users are starting to own these themselves. That shift is something every business needs to understand, because it will reshape how our industry works.”

The day starts with a panel titled ‘Web 3.0 & Blockchain in Context’, which lays the groundwork for everything to come. Expect expert insights from Borget Sebastien (Co-Founder & COO, The Sandbox), Jordi Baylina (Founder, ZisK), and moderator Eddie Marques (CEO & Founder, Web3 District). They’ll explore how Web 3.0 and blockchain emerged and their potential to change industries and society from the ground up.

Next up is a live AMA with Gary Vaynerchuk, titled ‘NFTs, Crypto & Blockchain: Beyond The Buzz – What Actually Matters AMA’. Gary will tackle the common myths and hype around NFTs, crypto, and esports, showing where the real value lies and how companies can use these technologies in practical ways to grow and engage their audiences.

Quick, Practical Workshops That Make a Big Impact

After a quick networking break, attendees can jump into a series of 20-minute workshops. Each is focused on real-world uses for blockchain and Web3, from automating contracts and protecting data to navigating compliance.

One of the highlights is ‘The Ultimate Digital You – Control Your ID, IP & Data Like a Boss’, hosted by Ingo Ruebe (CEO, KILT Protocol). This session will focus on how blockchain can be used to protect your identity and data without oversharing, and how to secure your intellectual property using Web3 tools.

Then there’s ‘Real Money = Real Traffic. No Bots Allowed’, led by Ahmed Al Balaghi, CEO of Biconomy. With bots and fake traffic on the rise, this workshop will explore how blockchain, gamification, and AI can help businesses identify and reward real users, not fake ones, and build more loyal communities in the process.

In ‘Really Smart Contracts – On-Chain Bureaucracy, Upgraded’, Jason Meyers (Lead Architect & Founder, AuditChain) will explain how smart contracts are transforming legal processes. Think of it as code that enforces itself, automatically triggering payments, deliveries, and actions, reducing delays and cutting out inefficiencies.

There will be even more workshops throughout the day that dive into how blockchain and Web 3.0 work with AI, automation, crypto payments, and regulatory requirements. Delegates will get to see live demos, including how to build AI apps without coding, and hear directly from entrepreneurs who are building startups powered by crypto.

The Web 3.0 & Blockchain Academy is part of the SBC Summit 2025, taking place from 16 to 18 September at Feira Internacional de Lisboa and MEO Arena. Along with this academy, the summit features six conference tracks, a massive 135,000 square meter expo floor, the Affiliate Leaders Summit, Payment Expert Summit, and plenty of evening networking events.

Just a heads-up, Tech Academies are open only to Expo+ and VIP Event Pass holders.
