SBC Summit Canada: Building on Nearly Three Decades of Experience
With a 28-year history, the Canadian Gaming Summit has long been a trusted source of insight into Canada’s gaming industry, covering everything from regulation to market opportunities and operational best practices. Now, as SBC Summit Canada, the event blends that deep local expertise with SBC’s international reach, while keeping a strong spotlight on Canada’s unique market dynamics.

“2026 promises to be a defining year for Canada’s gaming industry. With Alberta’s regulation approaching, iGaming continuing to grow in both popularity and profitability, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup set to be hosted in Canada, now is the ideal time to bring the industry together under the SBC Summit Canada banner, a platform built to reflect both the scale of opportunity ahead and the maturity of the market.”

SBC Summit Canada: Three Stages Focused on Canada’s Biggest Topics
The conference agenda will run across three dedicated stages, each focused on the major forces shaping Canada’s gaming industry in 2026. Over two days, sessions will explore leadership strategy in sports betting and casino, affiliate and advertising models, cybersecurity, land-based and lottery operations, player protection, and payments and compliance.
SBC Summit Canada: Senior Voices from Across the Industry
The agenda will feature some of Canada’s most senior gaming executives, including Tolek Strukoff of Gateway Casinos and Entertainment, Joseph Hillier of iGaming Ontario, Paul Burns of the Canadian Gaming Association, Mark Harper of Rhino Entertainment, Tom Metzger of Lotto.com, and Scott Vanderwel of PointsBet Canada.
Discussions will cover Alberta’s upcoming regulated gaming market, how operators can make the most of increased interest around the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and the long-term role of sports betting in a market still led by iGaming.
SBC Summit Canada: Regulation, Advertising, and Player Protection in Focus
Sessions will also dive into changing advertising rules, the growing impact of affiliates and social media, and how emerging products such as sweepstakes and prediction markets are being regulated. Collaboration between operators and regulators will be a key theme, particularly around strengthening player protection, cybersecurity, and compliance frameworks nationwide.
SBC Summit Canada: Networking Beyond the Show Floor
True to SBC’s focus on world-class hospitality, the summit will include two evening networking events. The SBC Summit Canada Opening Party will take place at RS Sports Bar in Toronto, offering a relaxed setting to pick up badges and reconnect with peers. The SBC Summit Canada Official Networking Party will provide another dedicated opportunity for senior stakeholders to connect away from the exhibition floor.
