Italy has moved a step closer to renewing its remote gambling licences. The country’s gaming regulator ADM (Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli) has shared the official list of 46 companies that have passed the first stage of the new licensing process. These approved operators will now take part in the next round of technical checks.
First Step Done: Administrative Review Completed
The current licensing round follows Legislative Decree No. 41, passed on March 25, 2024. As part of this, all companies that applied had to submit detailed administrative paperwork. The ADM reviewed these documents to make sure each applicant followed the official rules set out under Article 13 of the Administrative Rules.
During this process, ADM also asked for extra information or corrections where needed. Once all paperwork was verified, the regulator published a list of approved operators in alphabetical order, marking the end of the administrative phase.
46 Online Gambling Companies Move Forward
A total of 46 companies have now been cleared to move on to the technical offer phase of the licensing procedure. These include well-known operators in both the casino and sports betting sectors, including:
- 888 Italia Ltd
- Betfair Italia S.r.l.
- Sisal Italia S.p.A.
- SnaiTech S.p.A.
- LeoVegas Gaming PLC
- William Hill Malta PLC
- Stake Italy S.r.l.
- Tombola International Malta PLC
- Eurobet Italia S.r.l. Unipersonale
This mix of established brands and new entrants shows the wide interest in Italy’s regulated online gambling market. Some are already popular with Italian players, while others are hoping to grow their presence in the country.
