And with the first half of Season One wrapping up, major rank system changes are on the way. Get ready—your competitive journey is about to shift.
Rank Reset Incoming—What You Need to Know
Launched in January 2025, Marvel Rivals introduced a massive lineup of over 30 superheroes. Iron Man, Spider-Man, Captain America—you name it. And now, the roster is expanding. Mr. Fantastic just joined the battlefield, and two more Fantastic Four icons—The Thing and Human Torch—are next.
But here’s the big news. On February 21 at 8:00 UTC+0, the first half of Season One ends. And with it? A major rank reset.
How the Rank Reset Works
Expect a shake-up in the ranked ladder. Here’s how it plays out:
- Drop by four divisions—if you finished in Diamond 1, you’ll restart in Platinum 2.
- Gold and above players earn exclusive costume rewards.
- Grandmaster & Top 500 players get a Crest of Honor.
- To claim these rewards, you must play at least 10 matches in the second half of the season.
What’s Coming in Future Seasons?
Marvel Rivals isn’t stopping there. Devs confirmed that every new season will bring a six-rank drop for all players. Why? To keep things fair and competitive.
With The Thing and Human Torch on the horizon, expect the meta to shift. New strategies. Fresh team comps. A totally different battlefield.
The second half of Season One is going to be intense. Want to climb the ranks and grab those rewards? Now’s the time to grind.
Stay tuned—Marvel Rivals is just getting started!
