Nova Esports Reveals PUBG Mobile Roster for PEL 2024 Spring Tournament in China

Nova Esports reveals its seven-member lineup for the PEL 2024 Spring, featuring seasoned players Paraboy and Order. The team aims for a triumphant comeback after strategic acquisitions and the departure of former captain Jimmy.

Nova Esports has officially unveiled its PUBG Mobile roster for the highly anticipated PEL 2024 Spring, a major tournament within the Chinese esports circuit. The seven-member roster boasts seasoned players, including the renowned Paraboy and Order. Commencing on February 22, the competition will showcase the talents of 20 franchise clubs, with Nova Esports striving for a triumphant comeback following a challenging performance slump last year.

In preparation for the Spring edition, Nova Esports made strategic acquisitions, most notably signing Dreamy from ThunderTalk Gaming. The team witnessed the departure of Jimmy, the former In-Game Leader (IGL) who has now joined Wolves Esports. Additionally, ThunderTalk Gaming secured two ex-Nova Esports players, King and Yi. The current lineup blends experienced veterans with promising underdog players, presenting an exciting prospect on paper.

Nova Esports’ Lineup for PEL 2024 Spring:

  1. Paraboy
  2. Order
  3. Dreamy
  4. QC
  5. Frozen
  6. Loogskr
  7. PIQ

This marks the first instance where Nova Esports will compete without Jimmy, the former captain who led the team to victory in the PMGC 2020 and 2021. The team achieved significant success in various tournaments under his captaincy, making it intriguing to observe their performance under new leadership.

The dynamic duo of Paraboy and Order, both prominent figures in the Chinese PUBG Mobile esports scene, aims to stage a compelling comeback in PEL 2024. Despite their stellar performances in international tournaments, they faced a notable decline in 2023.

Dreamy, a recent addition to Nova Esports, seeks to showcase his skills in his new environment. Having played for ThunderTalk Gaming in 2023, Dreamy’s team secured fifth and eighth positions in the PEL Summer and Spring editions, respectively.

Reflecting on Nova Esports’ performances in 2023, the club encountered challenges across major competitions. Struggling to recover after stumbling in the PMGC 2022, they secured an 11th position in the PEL Spring and a 13th position in the Summer edition. Additional difficulties were faced in the PMGC China Qualifiers, resulting in a seventh-place overall ranking.

For the first time, Nova Esports failed to secure a spot in the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2023. With a renewed focus, the team aspires to deliver an improved performance in the upcoming PEL Spring, aiming for a return to international tournaments later this year.
