BiS SiGMA Americas 2025: Brazil's Gaming Future

The BiS SiGMA Americas Summit 2025 took place from April 8 to 10 at the huge Transamerica Expo Centre in São Paulo, Brazil. This event brought together more than 17,500 people from all around the world, including 300 speakers and 600 exhibitors. It covered a giant space of over 1.5 million square feet. People from all parts of the gaming industry operators, investors, affiliates, and regulators joined to learn, share ideas, and build strong business connections.

Now that 2025’s event is done, the hype is already building for 2026. More than 18,000 attendees are expected next year.

The Opening: A Big Start with Big Names

The summit started with a special ceremony that showed how fast Brazil’s gaming industry is growing. Alessandro Valente, co-founder of the Brazilian iGaming Summit, spoke about how Brazil is now a major gateway for gaming across Latin America.

Then came a surprise appearance by Rubens Barrichello the famous Formula 1 driver. As a Non-Executive Director for SOFTSWISS in Latin America, he joined panels to talk about branding and the mix of sports and gaming. His presence gave the event star power and added a cool edge.

Eman Pulis, founder of the SiGMA Group, also spoke about how iGaming is now a global industry that connects people from different places and cultures. Malta’s Ambassador to Brazil, John Aquilina, also said a few words, showing how countries are working together more in digital gaming and fintech.

Honoring the Best at SiGMA Americas Awards

The SiGMA Americas Awards 2025 happened at Tokio Marine Hall and were full of exciting moments. The awards recognized the best in 26 different categories from software and game development to affiliate marketing and media.

One big winner was Ronald Lopes, who won “Best Affiliate 2025.” The crowd cheered loudly as he accepted the award.

A panel of top global judges picked the winners. These included names like Itai Hadas (VELI Group), Michelle Dvorak (MetroNY), Olga Resiga (SOFTSWISS), and Mario Fiorini (IGA Group). Their decisions made sure only the best were rewarded.

Charity Auction Raises €23,000

Later that same evening, SiGMA hosted a charity auction, led by host Rick Goddard. The biggest highlight? A signed Pelé jersey that sold for €9,000. In total, the auction raised €23,000. This event reminded everyone that iGaming is also about giving back and helping others.

Betpass Wins the Pitch Competition

Innovation is a big part of SiGMA, and this year’s Pitch Competition didn’t disappoint. The winner was Betpass, thanks to its product Affiliatech. This white-label tech solution was praised for being ready for the market and easy to grow.

Now in its third year, the pitch event has become a launchpad for new gaming businesses. Betpass’s win shows how fresh ideas can make a real mark in iGaming.

MMA Meets iGaming with Centurion FC

One of the most exciting parts of the summit was the MMA Fight Night, held by Centurion FC in partnership with SiGMA. Fans of both fighting and gaming got to see Willian Lima win the main event.

But it wasn’t just about entertainment. During the week, Centurion FC and the SiGMA Foundation opened a new sports school in Brazil. The school aims to help kids through training and mentorship showing how gaming can support real change in communities.

SiGMA Poker Tour Begins in Brazil

Poker lovers also had something to cheer for. On April 9, the SiGMA Poker Tour began in São Paulo and continued until April 14. It brought together influencers, poker pros, and fans of the game.

tour’s next stop? Malta, from September 3 to 7. Bigger crowds and even more thrilling games are expected there.

A Colourful Close: Brazil’s Culture on Display

The summit ended on a high note with a cultural closing ceremony at Tokio Marine Hall on April 10. Music, dance, and Brazilian art turned the night into a true celebration. It was a moment for everyone to relax, connect, and enjoy Brazil’s lively spirit.

SiGMA Heads to Asia

After the success in Brazil, the SiGMA team now looks ahead to its next major event — SiGMA Asia 2025. It will be held from June 1 to 4 at the SMX Convention Centre in Manila, Philippines.

Endorsed by PAGCOR, the event will welcome over 20,000 people, 3,800 operators, and 350+ speakers. The four days will feature networking dinners, expert panels, and a grand awards show.

The event will also focus on AI, fintech, regulations, and innovation keeping SiGMA at the heart of iGaming’s future.
