The Skyesports Championship 5.0 BGMI Semi Finals’ first day is already over. Experienced and up-and-coming teams like Team Soul, Orangutan Gaming, Midwave Esports, WSB Gaming, and Entity dominated it. A number of seasoned teams, including Team X Spark, Gladiator Esports, Godlike Esports, and OR Esports, suffered poor Day 1 performances and are positioned at the bottom of the league.

After earning one chicken supper and 55 points, Orangutan Gaming secured the top spot. It managed to earn 39 placing points and 16 finishes. After winning the first two games of the day, Team Soul won back-to-back chicken feasts. With 50 points, two chicken meals, and 20 finish points, it came in second. A young team called Midwave Esports finished third with 50 points, demonstrating a decent mix between finish and placing points. With 46 points and one chicken supper, the entity came in fourth. One of the more reliable teams in recent memory, WSB Gaming, put up some solid fights and finished fifth with 45 points and one chicken supper.

God’s Reign finished sixth in the points table with 44 points, including 30 finish points, demonstrating aggressive gameplay. With 40 points, Team Empire, an underdog team, finished seventh despite putting up strong fights against more seasoned teams. With 40 points, the seasoned Numen Gaming team finished seventh overall. Despite winning a chicken meal and accruing 32 points overall, Blind Esports finished in ninth place due to its subpar play in the remaining three matchups. Marcos Gaming finished in tenth place with 29 points after a couple strong games. Despite being a typical day, Team Insane, Obey Esports, and Insane Esports managed to score 26 points apiece.

Several seasoned teams, including Godlike Esports, Gladiator Esports, and OR Esports, finished in the 20th, 22nd, and 23rd places, respectively, due to their inability to perform up to par. In order to secure a position in the Grand Finals, fans are hopeful that these teams will mount a comeback on Day 2 and maintain their momentum.
