A Special Night in Rome
The Corsie Sistine is part of the Santo Spirito in Sassia Museum Centre. It sits beside the Tiber river, close to the Vatican, so the old Rome setting suited a big night for a modern industry.
The building belongs to the old Hospital Santo Spirito in Saxia, set up in 727 and seen as one of the oldest hospitals in Europe. Pope Sixtus IV della Rovere rebuilt the Corsie Sistinee in the late 15th century. Its frescoes, ordered by the Pope and its altar by Carlo Maratti are still a highlight.
Guests enjoyed a grand dinner, live harp music, networking and charity auctions. Industry leaders and executives came together to celebrate the people and companies making a mark in global gaming.
The hosts were Mark Anthony Borg, Sales Manager and Voice of SiGMA with the well-known personality Trudy Kerr.
How the Awards Were Organised
This year’s awards were split into five main groups:
- Player Champions
- Content Masters
- The Architects
- The Pacesetters
- The Growth Makers
Together they covered everything from games and player experience to the technology, partnerships and business plans behind the industry.
