Xbox is finally bringing the Spyro Reignited Trilogy to Game Pass, with the game set to be available on the service starting tomorrow, November 12.
This release comes over a year after Xbox completed its acquisition of Activision Blizzard, bringing with it a treasure trove of IPs, including Spyro the Dragon and Crash Bandicoot. Despite this, the purple dragon has been notably absent from the Game Pass library until now.
Spyro Reignited Trilogy Finally Coming to Xbox Game Pass
This means Crash and Spyro are finally reunited on Game Pass. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy arrived on the service in August, making Spyro’s absence feel strange. But that will be fixed tomorrow, bringing one of the best platformers to more players.

After this, we’ll still be waiting for Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, but once it’s added, all the major Crash and Spyro remakes from the revival era will be on Game Pass. Add Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, and we’ll have every major release from that period as well.
Uncertainty Around the Future of the Spyro Series
The future of the Spyro series is a bit uncertain. Toys for Bob, the studio most associated with the franchise, has parted ways with Activision—and by extension, Xbox. However, shortly after becoming independent, the studio signed a publishing deal with Xbox, meaning they’ll continue working with the company. This could open the door for them to access Xbox’s IPs, including Spyro.
These developments come alongside rumors that Spyro 4 is in the works. To stir the speculation further, the Toys for Bob website was recently updated with a purple tiki mask, which could be a nod to both Crash and Spyro. However, it’s still unclear what project the studio is actually working on.
