Popular esports event organiser BLAST is growing fast. The company plans to enter the North American market by opening a new office in New York City. This move will help BLAST run more top-level esports events and create exciting content for fans across the region.
The office is set to open sometime in 2025, although an exact date hasn’t been shared yet. This will become the main hub for BLAST in North America, allowing the company to work more closely with local partners, brands, and fans.
A Global Journey for BLAST
BLAST began its journey in Denmark in 2016. Since then, it has grown quickly, setting up offices in London and Berlin. Earlier this year, the company also announced a major step into the Indian market by teaming up with Reliance. They will be opening an office in Mumbai, which will focus on mobile gaming and help build content and events across India.
Now, with an office coming to New York, BLAST is making it clear that it wants to be one of the top names in esports worldwide.
BLAST’s Impact on Esports
Over the last few years, BLAST has become known for creating high-quality esports events. These include:
- BLAST Premier (CS2 – formerly CS:GO)
- BLAST Slam (Dota 2)
- Rainbow Six Siege tournaments
- Official tournament partner for Fortnite FNCS and Rocket League Championship Series
In 2025, BLAST plans to host 15 international LAN events, including one of the biggest – the BLAST.tv Austin Major, which will be only their second-ever CS Major and will take place in the U.S.
Leadership on the Move
To support this big step into the U.S., Leo Matlock, BLAST’s Chief Business Officer, will move to New York. He will help launch the new office and manage all activities across the country.
Speaking about the expansion, Matlock said:
“We have some incredible live events coming up across North America this year and are excited to continue to advocate this unmatched fandom and to work with national and local partners and brands, creating a positive impact everywhere we are. This move further adds to our global expansion efforts in 2025, with offices opening in India and the U.S. this year.”
