Details about a few Games
Dota 2
After initially participating in Gamers8, a multi-title esports competition held in Saudi Arabia last year, the Riyadh Masters is making a comeback in 2024.
Twenty teams will compete in the tournament in July for some of the total $5 million prize money. Qualifications and regional qualifiers are connected to the ESL Pro Tour Leaderboard. Team Liquid, Team Falcons, and BetBoom Team are a few of the teams that have already been made official for the event.

Counter-Strike
The Counter-Strike 2 competition for the Esports World Cup will take place from July 17–21. Fifteen teams worldwide will fight for a piece of the $1 million prize money. The top seven teams from the ESL World Ranking, which includes teams like G2 Esports, FaZe Clan, and MOUZ, have joined the organizations. Regional qualifiers in South America (MIBR), Oceania (FlyQuest), Asia (The MongolZ), and the Middle East (Jijie Hao) determined the final four teams.
Apex Legends
The last game to be confirmed for the Esports World Cup was Apex Legends. The exact structure, teams, and prize money have not yet been made public, though.
EA FC 2024
Players can qualify for EA FC 2024’s Esports World Cup 2024 by attending DreamHack Dallas and DreamHack Summer in Sweden. A direct invitation to the competition will also be extended to the best players. Both the prize money and the precise format are still to be announced.
The August event will not be a part of EA Sports’ EA FC Pro environment, the company stated.

Fortnite
Fortnite is the next game on the list, but it will look a little different from other Battle Royale games. According to the Esports World Cup Foundation, a brand-new, “competitive UEFN (Unreal Editor for Fortnite) island experience” will be developed.
FreeFire
The Esports World 2024 tournament for Free Fire is the first game on this list to be directly integrated into the official global esports ecosystem. Teams will earn entry into the competition by competing in approved Free Fire World Series (FFWS) events held in various regions. In addition, the tournament winner will receive a spot in the 2024 FFWS Global Finals.
Honor of Kings
Honor of Kings is still in the process of expanding throughout the world, but it will be well-represented at the Esports World Cup in 2024.
The Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason is scheduled to take place in Riyadh, with 12 teams competing for a prize of the $3 million prize fund.
League of Legend
Esports World Cup 2024 will also feature League of Legends, one of the most played esports games globally. Riot Games provided room on its official esports roadmap for teams to practice and participate in the competition even though they were not involved.

Mobile Legend: Bang Bang
Another game where the Esports World Cup is intimately linked to the official esports ecosystem is Major League Baseball. The MLBB Women’s Invitational (MWI) and the renamed Mid-Season Cup (MSC) will be held in Saudi Arabia during the game. These two events are being held outside of Southeast Asia (SEA) for the first time. With a prize pool of $5 million.
OverWatch 2
After the Overwatch League closes its doors in 2023, Overwatch is going through a critical phase of evolution toward a more open ecosystem. The Saudi-owned ESL FACEIT Group, in collaboration with Blizzard, will run the Overwatch Champions Series, which will act as a qualifying tournament for the 2024 Esports World Cup.
PUBG Mobile
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will host the official PUBG Mobile World Cup 2024 as part of Timi Studio’s collaboration with the Esports World Cup Foundation. This is the international mid-season event for the game in 2024. A total of 28 teams from global regional leagues will be eligible for the $3 million competition in July. Teams will earn their spots through continuing regional competitions.
Tekken 8
The fighting game Tekken 8 is the final title on this list. Despite not being formally part of the Tekken World Tour, players can still earn entry for the Esports World Cup by competing in various World Tour events. According to the announcements made thus far, the top six players from EVO Japan will be eligible to compete. Additionally, an official Esports World Cup Qualifier for Tekken 8 will take place at Dreamhack Dallas, with the winner earning a spot in the tournament. The entire schedule of qualifying tournaments, the size of the prize fund, and the format are still unknown. Other qualifiers might be announced later.
