Mansion Raid is a new game mode in GTA Online where players face off in a high-action team battle. This mode is part of the Adversary series and needs four to eight players to start. Everyone is split into two sides. One team becomes the attackers, and the other becomes the defenders.
The attackers try to break into the mansion and steal gold from the vault. The defenders try to stop them at every step. The mode is fast, intense, and rewards smart teamwork.
How to Start or Join a Mansion Raid
Mansion Raid was added to GTA Online in the January 2026 update. You can either start a match yourself or join one that is already running.
To start a Mansion Raid, follow these steps.
- Open the pause menu.
- Go to the Online tab.
- Select Jobs, then Play Job.
- Choose Rockstar Created.
- Scroll down and find Adversary Mode.
- Select Mansion Raid from the list.
Make sure there are at least four players, or the match will not begin.
If you want to join a raid quickly, use your in-game phone.
- Open the phone.
- Go to Quick Join.
- Select Series Modes.
- Choose Adversary Mode.
You can join alone or invite friends to join with you.
How the Mansion Raid Works
Once the match starts, your team will be picked as either attackers or defenders. The attackers have one main goal. They must plant two explosives inside the mansion. This happens in two different phases. Each bomb opens the path to the next area. The defenders must find and disarm these explosives before they explode. If they fail, the attackers move closer to the vault.
If the attackers succeed in the second phase, they get access to the vault. This is where the gold is kept. They must grab as much gold as possible and escape the mansion. The final part is the hardest. The attackers need to reach a getaway vehicle and leave the area alive. The defenders will try their best to stop them before they can escape.
Rewards for Completing a Raid
Winning a Mansion Raid is not just about fun. Players who complete the mode can earn a cash reward of up to $200,000. The better your performance, the more useful the mode becomes for making money.
