I have played Hero Wars for about a month now, and while it started as a fun, engaging game, my experience has quickly shifted. When you are at the lower level, everything feels rewarding and exciting. Daily tasks give decent rewards, and your heroes and titans grow quickly. But once you start reaching higher levels, the game becomes slow and repetitive.
Hero Wars Review
Progress feels like climbing a mountain in flip-flops. Collecting soul stones or fragments to upgrade your heroes takes weeks, sometimes months. And with so many heroes to work on, it feels never-ending. Unless you’re spending real money on bundles and events, levelling up is painfully tedious.
Hero Wars Review
At first, I thought, “Well, game developers need to make money, right?” But over time, I’ve realized that the game doesn’t care about players’ experience—it feels like it’s built to keep you frustrated and insecure enough to spend more money.
Hero Wars Here’s an example:
There’s a common glitch when you manually fight in dungeons, guild wars, or Outland. After winning a tough battle, you might get hit with a “battle processing error,” and your win doesn’t count. You have to restart the game and fight again, wasting time and energy. Sometimes, the glitch happens multiple times in a row. I reached out to support, but all I got was generic troubleshooting advice. It’s frustrating because I keep my game updated, and it’s clearly an issue on their end. Yet, they don’t bother fixing it.
It feels like the game is pushing you to spend more so you can overpower opponents and avoid manual fights. Where’s the fun in that?
Hero Wars Review
The in-game support is no better. Whenever I’ve contacted them, the responses are robotic. named Raymond. He is unhelpful. They often don’t address the issue and simply say, “We’ll forward your feedback to the development team.” Recently, I accidentally made an in-game purchase because of poorly placed buttons. When I asked for a refund, I was denied because of some vague rule about random rewards. It felt like an excuse to avoid helping me.
Hero Wars Review
These poorly placed buttons make it easy to spend emeralds unintentionally. It’s hard not to think they’re designed that way on purpose. Instead of treating players as valued customers, the game makes you feel like a child who needs to follow arbitrary rules.
Hero Wars has potential, but its system of exploiting players through frustration and manipulation is unsustainable. Many players quit early on, and those who stick around either love their guild or feel stuck because they’ve already spent so much. Eventually, most will realize they’re not getting enough value and move on.
The game’s graphics are realistic, no doubt, but they have work to do on their game missions, audio and help section.
I hope that they will soon read this review article and try to improve the game and bring it to the people in a better way.
