It was initially supposed to be a solo project by developer Yang Bing, but it has evolved into a full-fledged title under Sony’s China Hero Project, captivating the hearts of its audience due to its stunning visuals and gameplay.

Lost Soul Aside is a single-player action RPG featuring fluid hack-and-slash combat and customizable landouts. Players will be able to take up the take of Kaser, a protagonist bonded with Arena, which is a dragon-like symbiote that transforms into weapons. It’s one of the most awaited games of the 2025 season and is set to launch on 30 May 2025. 

Available Platforms

The game will be available on PlayStation 5 and PC, with distribution available on Steam and Epic Games Store. While the game itself was designed with PlayStation in mind, PC players can also enjoy the title. There is no official update on its release on Xbox yet.

Lost Soul Aside is set in a war-toen sci-fi fantasy world where players follow the journey of Kaser to rescue his sister, Louisia. Kaser bonds with Arena as they battle with forces of other worlds to rescue his sister, and they must navigate through their troubled world while maintaining their alliance. The game offers diverse environments, from ruined temples to alien landscapes- you get it all.
