The PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2025 is one of the biggest esports tournaments of the year, and it’s all set to begin on November 24, 2025, in Thailand. This global event will feature 40 top teams from across the world battling for glory and the PMGC 2025 trophy.
Out of the 40, 38 teams have already qualified, while the remaining two slots will be taken by the top teams from the upcoming BGMI International Cup (BMIC) 2025, which is scheduled from October 31 to November 2.
The championship will run through multiple rounds, ending on December 14, 2025, where the ultimate champion will be crowned.
PMGC 2025 Format
The tournament will be played in four stages – Gauntlet, Group Stage, Last Chance, and Grand Finals. Each stage will decide which teams move forward to the next, ensuring a fair and competitive route to the top.
Here’s how it will go:
- Gauntlet Stage -16 teams will compete. The top 7 teams will qualify directly for the Grand Finals, while the other 9 will move to the Group Stage.
- Group Stage – 32 teams will play here (23 from regional events + 9 from the Gauntlet). The top 3 teams from each group will go to the Grand Finals, while teams placed 4th to 11th will enter the Last Chance Qualifier. The bottom 5 from each group will be eliminated.
- Last Chance Qualifier – 16 teams will compete, and only the top 2 will advance to the Grand Finals.
- Grand Finals – 16 final teams will face off in 18 matches for the PMGC 2025 trophy.
Direct Invitation
Host country Thailand’s own Vampire Esports has received a direct invite to the Grand Finals, making them one of the 16 final teams before the tournament begins.
