The Star Wars universe is taking a sharp turn into pure racing territory as Star Wars: Galactic Racer prepares to launch on October 6, 2026. Built by Fuse Games and released under Secret Mode, the game lands on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC with a clear message this time, it’s all about speed and skill.
Instead of lightsabers and Force powers, the action shifts to the Outer Rim, where the underground Galactic League thrives. Players step into the boots of a pilot known as Shade, working through a story shaped by rivalries, uneasy alliances, and old scores that haven’t quite faded. It leans more personal than epic, trading galaxy-saving stakes for something grittier and closer to the ground.
What stands out immediately is how stripped back the concept feels in the best way possible. There’s no Force to fall back on, no hidden abilities to swing a race. Everything comes down to control, timing, and how well you handle your machine. The game lets you experiment across different repulsorcraft, from landspeeders to speeder bikes and skim speeders, each with its own feel. Podracers also make an appearance, adding a familiar touch for longtime fans without slowing things down.

What’s in store in the Star Wars racing game?
Multiplayer looks set to carry a lot of the weight, with races supporting up to 12 players at once. Expect tight tracks, aggressive racing, and plenty of moments where a small mistake can cost you everything. It’s built to be competitive without overcomplicating things.
On the pricing side, the Standard Edition starts at $59.99 and includes a few pre-order bonuses like unique liveries and player banners. The Deluxe Edition bumps things up with extra vehicles, special events, and a digital art book, while the Collector’s Edition leans into physical extras for those who want something to put on a shelf.
It’s a different direction for Star Wars, no doubt about that. But if it lands the way it promises, Galactic Racer could end up carving out its own space in the franchise rather than trying to follow what’s already been done.
