Vici Gaming Returns To Dota 2 With A Powerful New Lineup

After a long two-year break from competitive Dota 2, the legendary Chinese organization Vici Gaming (VG) is officially back. The team has announced a new roster that blends experienced veterans with young rising stars, signaling a strong comeback for one of China’s most iconic esports names.

The New Vici Gaming Lineup

  • Lou “Lou” Zhen
  • Guo “Xm” Hongcheng
  • Chung “Ws” Wei Shen
  • Xiong “Pyw” Jiahan
  • Ding “Dy” Cong

This fresh lineup shows that Vici Gaming is serious about making an impact once again, with a balance of leadership, experience, and raw talent.

Xm Leads the Comeback

The team will be led by Xm, one of the best mid-laners in the Chinese Dota scene. After earning a second-place finish at The International 2025 (TI14) with Xtreme Gaming, Xm is now ready for a new challenge with VG. Interestingly, this isn’t his first time wearing the VG jersey. He previously played for the team back in 2022, early in his Tier 1 career.

With his solid performance and calm approach to the game, Xm will be the key player to guide the new VG squad through their comeback journey.

The Return of Legendary Support Duo

The return of Dy and Pyw is one of the most exciting parts of this announcement. Both players have long been fan favorites in the Chinese Dota 2 community.

After taking a year off from competition, Dy is back in action, refreshed and ready to play again. During his break, he took time away to focus on personal life but is now ready to bring his experience and leadership back into the pro scene.

His former support partner Pyw is also returning, known for his exceptional playstyle and sharp in-game decision-making. The two have played together before under the VG banner, and their chemistry will likely play a big role in the team’s success this time around.

Young Talent Joins the Roster

Alongside the veterans, VG has added two promising players to their lineup Lou and Ws.

Lou will take the carry role, known for his consistent and explosive performances. He gained attention during his time with Azure Ray, helping his team reach the top four at The International 2023.

Meanwhile, Ws, the youngest member of the team at 20 years old, adds a new dynamic. Formerly with Talon Esports, he has decided to move from Southeast Asia to China to join VG. Ranked #1 on the SEA leaderboards, his mechanical skills and aggressive playstyle make him an exciting addition to the lineup.

The Rise of Chinese Dota 2 Again

VG’s return couldn’t have come at a better time. Chinese Dota 2 has been showing strong signs of revival, with teams like Xtreme Gaming and Team Tidebound performing well in international tournaments such as the PGL Wallachia and TI14.
