Zappit Blackjack is one such online blackjack game which is a little different from regular blackjack. The most special feature of this game is the “Zap” option. If the total of your first 2 cards is 15, 16, 17 or 18, then you can change these cards completely – meaning you get a new chance to win.
That’s why it is named Zappit Blackjack. This game is available online only and people play it either for fun or for real money. Its concept is simple but the gameplay is exciting. Let’s find out how to play Zappit Blackjack and what rules and features make this game unique.
How to Play Japapit Blackjack?
A total of 6 decks are used in Zappit Blackjack. The computer reshuffles the cards after each round, so card counting does not work here.
If you have already played blackjack, you will easily understand this game as well. Same card values, same basic rules – with the extra option of “Zap”.
Card Values – Simple and Even like regular Blackjack
- A = 1 or 11
- 2 to 10 = Same value as written
- J, Q, K = 10
- Suits have no role
Important Rules – How and when can you zap?
- 6 decks are used in the game
- The decks are reshuffled after every round
- The payout of Blackjack is 3:2
- If the total of the first 2 cards is 15, 16, 17 or 18, you can “Zap”
- Zap is allowed only once in a round
- You can only split in the first action if both cards are of the same rank
- Double Down happens only on the initial 2 cards
- Re-splitting is not allowed
- The Dealer hits on soft 17
- The dealer stands on hard 17
- If 21 is received after Zap, it is not considered a blackjack
Payout Details – How much will you win?
- Normal Win – 1:1
- Blackjack – 3:2
- Draw (Push) – Your money back
- Insurance – 2:1
Strategy – When should you zap?
If your cards total is 15-18 and you think you will lose easily, use “Zap” – it gives a second chance to make a better hand. According to the strategy chart, you can use “Zap” as a way to think of a “Hit” when the hand is weak.
This strategy works for 6-8 deck games where the dealer hits on soft 17.
End of the game – how is it decided who wins?
- If the dealer busts, everyone else wins
- If a player’s first 2 cards add up to 21, he gets his payout immediately
- When no more cards can be drawn, the hand whose value is closest to 21 (and less than 21) wins
