The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s International is part of EWC 2026 this year and it is worth talking about separately from the main MLBB event. July 13 to July 17, sixteen teams, five hundred thousand dollars in prize money. This is not a side event or an exhibition it is a proper competitive tournament with qualified teams and real stakes.
Why This Matters for Women’s Esports
Women’s esports has had a complicated history when it comes to getting proper recognition and resources. Too often female players have been given smaller prize pools, less broadcast time, or treated as an afterthought compared to the main events. Having a dedicated women’s MLBB tournament at EWC 2026 one of the biggest esports events in the world this year is a meaningful step. It is on the same stage, covered under the same event, with a real prize pool attached to it.
Five hundred thousand dollars is a serious number for women’s esports. Teams will prepare properly for this. They will have coaches, analysts, and practice schedules that reflect the importance of the event. The level of competition you see on the server will reflect that preparation.

Natus Vincere PH brings Southeast Asian representation from one of the most competitive MLBB markets in the world. Galaxy Phoenix and Falcons Vega MENA add more international flavor to the field. FUT Esports FE and SAETA round out the known names so far.
The remaining spots come through regional qualifiers; Southeast Asia, Middle East, North America, South America, and other regions each have a path in. This means the field will have genuine global representation, which is the right approach for a world-level event.
MLBB in Southeast Asia
To understand why this tournament will have real viewership, you need to understand how big Mobile Legends is in Southeast Asia. In the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia, MLBB is not just a popular game it is a cultural phenomenon. MPL events regularly pull massive viewership numbers. The women’s scene within those countries has also been growing, with dedicated leagues and fan bases forming around female players and teams.
Bringing the women’s international to Paris as part of EWC gives the global community a chance to see these teams compete. It also gives female players the kind of exposure that helps grow the ecosystem further. More visibility leads to more sponsors, more investment, and more opportunities for the next generation of players coming up.
July 13 to 17, sixteen teams, Paris. If you follow MLBB or care about where women’s esports is heading, this tournament is one to keep track of. The teams are ready and the stage is there.
