Esports World Cup 2025: Bigger Games, Bigger Prizes

The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has announced a new music initiative called ‘Music of EWC’ before the 2025 Esports World Cup. This initiative aims to create a unique music identity for the event. The first step of this initiative started on April 27, 2025, at Abbey Road Studios in London, where 2WEI and Hollywood Scoring will record four music tracks.

Involving the Global Music Community

EWCF is involving the global music community by hosting a competition on the Audiotool music platform. Two winning tracks will be added to the official EWC music collection alongside the tracks made at Abbey Road Studios. These tracks will be used in tournament broadcasts, events, and digital content during the gaming festival from July to August.

Prizes for the Winning Tracks

The creators of the winning tracks will be selected as judges for the event. They will receive 25 limited-edition vinyl records of their track and a one-year LANDR studio subscription. The deadline for submissions is June 8, 2025.

Investing in Music as a Universal Language

EWCF sees music as a long-term investment to enhance the competition’s story, emotion, and drama. They believe both music and esports bring people together from all over the world.

Esports World Cup’s $70 Million Prize Pool

The Esports World Cup has also announced a $70 million prize pool, which is $10 million more than last year. Of this, $27 million will go to the EWC Club Championship, where the top 16 teams will compete. The top team will be crowned EWC Club Champion and receive $7 million.

The Largest Esports Event

This event will have over 2,000 esports players and 200 teams, making it the biggest esports event in the world. Mike McCabe, the Chief Operating Officer of Esports World Cup Foundation, said, “The main goal of the Esports World Cup is to bring people together and support talent. Music of EWC is a natural part of this goal, showing the passion, creativity, and collaboration in gaming and competition.”

The ‘Music of EWC’ initiative by Esports World Cup Foundation is not just about music, but about connecting the global gaming community. This event, as part of the biggest esports championship, is making its mark by combining music and esports.
