Fluxx is a unique card game where the rules keep changing as you play. It starts very simple with only one rule draw one card and play one card. But as the game progresses, new rules come into play, making it more challenging and exciting.
The most interesting part? The goal of the game also keeps changing! One moment you are close to winning, and the next, everything shifts. So you need to watch the cards carefully and plan your moves.
How to Set Up Fluxx
Setting up the game is quick and easy:
- Place the Basic Rules card in the middle of the table.
- Shuffle all the cards and deal three cards to each player.
- Put the remaining cards face-down next to the Basic Rules card. This creates the Draw pile.
That’s it now you are ready to play!
How to Play Fluxx
At the beginning, follow the Basic Rules:
- Draw one card from the pile.
- Play one card from your hand.
- Turns go clockwise around the table.
But here’s the twist New Rule cards will keep appearing. When someone plays a New Rule card, everyone must follow it from that moment on.
If a new rule contradicts an older rule, the old one is removed. Simply put, the latest rules replace the previous ones.
The Goal of the Game
The Goal Card decides how to win.
- When someone plays a Goal Card, it applies to all players.
- If you meet the condition written on the Goal, you immediately win.
- A new Goal card replaces the old one.
This means you need to keep an eye on the current goal at all times.
How to Win Fluxx
The game ends as soon as a player meets the condition of the current Goal. That player is declared the winner.
Sometimes you might be just one step away from victory, but then the goal changes so be ready for surprises.
