Rocket League fans finally got official confirmation about the next RLCS World Championship location, and the tournament is once again heading back to Texas. During the Paris Major, organizers revealed that the RLCS World Championship 2026 Finals will take place at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth.
This is the third time the legendary venue will host Rocket League’s biggest esports event. The arena has hosted the championship in 2022 and 2024, and now it is preparing for another massive competition.
The event is set to take place from September 15 to September 20, where 20 best teams from all over the world will battle for the biggest title in Rocket League esports.
RLCS finds familiar home in Dickies Arena
Many of the fans were expecting a brand new venue this year but the organisers decided to go with a venue they know very well.
The decision to do so is partly down to BLAST, the company that runs the RLCS esports circuit at present. “BLAST already has great experience working in Dickies Arena as several major esports events have been hosted there recently.
The production team is more efficient in a known venue. It allows the organisers to concentrate on broadcast quality, stage setup, player experience and technical stability during the tournament.
For viewers this could mean a cleaner, more polished Championship experience.
NRG Esports Will Enter As Defending Champions
Reigning champions NRG Esports will also face a lot of pressure in the upcoming tournament. Having won the 2025 title, the team will now try to defend its crown against some of the world’s strongest Rocket League rosters.
This year the competition is expected to be even hotter with several regions already fielding strong teams for the finals.
Europe Already Looks Very Strong
Europe is once again proving why it remains one of the strongest regions in Rocket League esports.
Reports confirm that all five European teams competing in the Paris Major have already secured qualification for the World Championship in Texas.
The qualified teams include:
- Gentle Mates
- Karmine Corp
- Team Vitality
- Ninjas in Pyjamas
- Manchester City
Gentle Mates currently enter the championship with huge momentum after winning the Boston Major earlier this season.
Many fans already believe Europe could dominate the tournament once again.
Last Chance Qualifier Will Decide Final Spots
While some teams have already qualified and the final four berths are still to be decided,
The remaining places will be filled by the Last Chance Qualifier system. The final places in the World Championship bracket will be fought out between different regions.
The competition is heating up, especially in the MENA region.
Twisted Minds have already booked their ticket to Worlds but Team Falcons are in a tight spot at the moment. Their chances of surviving now will depend a lot on other tournament results during the Paris Major.
