The PMGO 2026 season 1 is now set to start in Jakarta, Indonesia. In this there are 32 teams set to play the tournament, and fans are looking forward to one of the biggest PUBG Mobile tournaments of the year. The event will be held from June 2nd to June 6th 2026 at the Tennis Indoor Stadium Senayan, Jakarta, Indonesia. Teams from all over the world will compete for a huge prize pool of $500,000.
Many of the best PUBG Mobile organisations have qualified for the competition based on their strong performances in regional events earlier this year and high-level action is expected.
PMGO 2026 to Feature Two Seasons This Year
PMGO format is growing in 2026 thanks to PUBG Mobile esports.
Instead, the tournament will have two seasons this year, each with a prize pool of $500,000. Indonesia will host Season 1 while Pakistan will host Season 2 later this year.
Another big update is that countries like India, China, Japan and South Korea are likely to join PMGO 2026 Season 2. This could make season two even bigger and more competitive.

PMGO 2026 Format Explained
The event will be played in three different stages.
Group Stage
The Group Stage will be played on June 2 and June 3.
All 32 teams will be split into two groups. The teams will fight it out to qualify directly for the Grand Finals.
The top six teams in each group will go straight to the finals stage.
Teams ranked between seventh and fourteenth will advance to the Survival Stage.
Meanwhile, the bottom two teams in each group will be eliminated from the tournament altogether.
Survival Stage Is Going To Be Very Important
The Survival Stage will be on June 4.
Total of 16 teams will battle for the last four spots in the Grand Finals. This phase must be very intense because there will be only four teams left.
The other 12 teams will be eliminated from the contest.
This format makes every single match count as one bad game can change the whole standings.
Grand Finals to Take Place on June 5 and 6
The PMGO 2026 Season 1 Grand Finals will take place across two days.
A total of 16 teams will contest the final stage:
- 12 teams from the Group Stage
- 4 teams from the Survival Stage
- The tournament winner will be decided after a maximum of 12 matches.

Big Teams Preparing for Another International Duel
Some fan-favorite teams return for another big PUBG Mobile tournament.
Some of the strongest teams that are coming into the tournament are Alpha7 Esports, S2G Esports, Nigma Galaxy and 4Thrives Esports. These organisations know how to perform under pressure on the world stage.
There are also many fans excited to see teams like RRQ RYU, BOOM Esports, and Bigetron, as Southeast Asian teams usually perform very well in PUBG Mobile events.
Defending Champions Fail to Qualify
One of the biggest surprises this year is that Regnum Carya is missing.
The Turkish squad took out the previous edition of PMGO following an incredible performance in 2025. However, the reigning champions did not qualify this time around after a poor display at the Turkey Finals.

The first PMGO tournament took place in Brazil in 2024.
Japan Reject took the title with Alpha7 Esports and Vampire Esports coming in second and third place.
