Minecraft is all about building stuff and being creative with it. You can explore the area in the game, construct massive castles or underground bases, whatever your imagination says, and part of the fun in the game comes from discovering rare items.

Some items have to be discovered in the game that you can further use to create even bigger things. Rare mob drops in Minecraft are items that are not super easy to find, and hence, they are quite unique and make the game even more exciting. 

Mob drop items in Minecraft

• Like in many games, certain items are of so much value that they are very difficult to obtain and hence are termed as a rare find.
• A Rare item doesn’t mean it is harder to find; it just means it is uncommon to find.  Rare mob drops are certain unique items that only certain specific mobs drop, and under very specific conditions, which make them all the more intriguing and special.
• Most rare items are usually found in buried treasure chests or other various types of structures.
• Minecraft colors items with different shades or hues, which show how useful or powerful they are and how easy or difficult it is to obtain them.  A cyan and purple hue are used to mark the rare and most exclusive items, respectively.

Dragon Egg

• A dragon egg is found or generated once the Ender dragon has been defeated.
• It does not have much of a practical use, except that it serves as a trophy and is only generated once during the game.
• In Minecraft, even if the Ender dragon is re-summoned, it will not drop another dragon egg. This is what makes the dragon egg a rare mob drop. 

Nether Star

Piglin head

• Nether star is a rare drop by the Wither boss when he is defeated.
• To do this, the player will need to stack four blocks of soul sand or soil in a T Shape.
• Thereafter, three wither skeleton skills will have to be placed on top of the T Shape.
• Once the Wither boss has been defeated, the nether star will be dropped by him, and then it can be used to craft a beacon, which is useful for big builds. It is a very powerful item. 

Piglin Head

• A charged creeper has to kill a piglin in the Nether to get the Piglin Head. It is one of the most impossible finds.
• What makes it extremely challenging to find is that the creepers that are required for this are a rarity themselves.

Wither Skull 

Wither Skull is another rare mob drop from the Wither Skeletons of the Nether Fortress. You need at least three of these skulls to summon the wither boss. A wither boss is a necessary step that the player must cross to unlock advanced gameplay features of Minecraft.
