The PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2026 Season 1 is set to be the first big international event of the year for PUBG Mobile fans. The tournament will run from June 2 to June 7 in Southeast Asia. A total of 32 teams from different parts of the world will compete for a large prize pool of $500,000.

Last year, the 2025 PMGO was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The title was won by Turkey’s Regnum Carya Esports who were the top team at the event.

A lot of regions will have regional qualifiers to get their places. Each region has a set number of spots that determine the number of teams that can participate in the main event.
The slots are divided up as follows:
- Southeast Asia: 5 teams
- South Asia: 3 teams
- Eastern Europe and Central Asia: 4 teams
- Middle East and North Africa: 6 teams
- Turkey: 5 teams
- Western Europe: 2 teams
- Americas: 4 teams
- Africa: 1 team
- Host Country: 2 teams
Some major PUBG Mobile regions like China, India, Japan, and South Korea will not have any teams in this season.
The publishers will soon announce full details about the regional qualifiers, including dates and match schedules.
PMGO 2026 Season 1 Tournament Format
The event is split into three main stages. Each stage will decide which teams move forward and which ones get knocked out.
Group Stage
The Group Stage will be played on June 2 and June 3. All 32 teams will be divided into two groups.
- The top six teams from each group will move straight to the Grand Finals.
- Teams that finish from seventh to fourteenth place will go to the Survival Stage.
- The rest of the teams will be eliminated from the tournament.
This stage is very important because a strong start can help teams skip the extra pressure of the Survival Stage.
Survival Stage
The Survival Stage will take place on June 4. A total of 16 teams will play here.
- These teams will fight in six matches.
- Only the top four teams will reach the Grand Finals.
- The bottom 12 teams will be eliminated.
Every match in this stage will matter, as one good or bad game can change everything.
Grand Finals
The Grand Finals will be held on June 6 and June 7. A total of 16 teams will compete.
- 12 teams from the Group Stage
- 4 teams from the Survival Stage
They will play 12 matches across two days. The team with the highest points at the end will be crowned the PMGO 2026 Season 1 champion.
