SBC Locks In 2026 and 2027 Dates for Its Global Summit in Lisbon: SBC Events has officially confirmed when its flagship SBC Summit will return to Lisbon – and it’s already setting the stage for another record-breaking turnout. Following an edition that brought together 30,000 professionals from across the industry, the next events are set for the Feira Internacional de Lisboa and the MEO Arena.
The 2026 summit will run from 29 September to 1 October, while the 2027 edition will take place a little earlier, from 21 to 23 September.
Planning Ahead with Confidence
SBC secured these dates back in 2023 to give its partners and participants the consistency they need to plan effectively. The goal is to make scheduling easier across the industry and avoid the typical date clashes that can occur during a busy events season.
“Clarity and predictability, at least when it comes to dates, are vital. Our partners deserve to plan ahead without uncertainty,” said Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC. “By setting our dates well in advance, we ensured that everyone could organise their year efficiently and contributed to a well-balanced industry event calendar.”
A September Staple for the Industry
Since 2015, SBC has hosted its major exhibition and conference every September, carving out a perfect spot on the industry calendar just after the European summer break. It’s become a key moment for reconnecting, strategizing, and setting goals for the year ahead.
The 2026 event will take place slightly later than usual to avoid overlapping with major Jewish holidays in mid-September, but from 2027, SBC will return to its regular schedule.
Lisbon’s Success Story
SBC’s move from Barcelona to Lisbon was a defining moment, helping the Summit grow into a truly global event. The rebrand to SBC Summit reflected this broader vision, and the response has been remarkable.
The 2025 edition saw 76.6% first-time attendees and 57.5% new companies, proving that the event continues to attract fresh faces and innovative businesses year after year.
Committed to the Industry, Not Competition
“Our focus has always been on serving the industry, not competing with it,” Sojmark added. “Consistency in scheduling reflects that mindset. When organisers align around a clear, predictable calendar, everyone benefits, from exhibitors and sponsors to delegates who can make the most of every event they wish to attend.”
Looking ahead, the 2026 SBC Summit is set to welcome around 35,000 professionals from sectors including betting, gaming, payments, marketing, and technology.
“The Greatest Show in Gaming has a lot in store. Stay tuned,” said Sojmark.
With firm dates, a thriving venue, and a growing global audience, SBC is once again proving why its Summit stands out as one of the most anticipated events in the gaming world.
