When Will Ryze Be Released in Wild Rift?
Ryze will arrive in Patch 6.1, and the release date is April 17, 2025 (GMT). This will be his first time stepping into the Wild Rift, even though he’s been a key part of League of Legends for many years.
With Ryze joining, Wild Rift will now have 122 champions, slowly closing the gap with League PC, which has 169.
Why Is Ryze a Big Deal?
Ryze is one of the oldest champions in League of Legends history. Many longtime players remember him as a classic mid-laner with heavy damage and tricky combos. He became even more famous thanks to Faker, the legendary pro player, who used Ryze during his early career. That’s why Ryze even has a special SKT T1 skin in his honor.
All Ryze Abilities Explained in Easy Words
Ryze is a mage who plays in the mid lane and uses mana to power his spells. What makes him special is that his damage increases the more mana he has. Here’s a simple breakdown of his skills:
- Passive – Arcane Mastery
Ryze’s spells do more damage based on how much bonus mana he has. He also gets extra mana from his ability power. - Skill 1 – Overload
Ryze fires a magic blast in a straight line. If the enemy is already marked with magic (called “Flux”), this blast hits harder and can bounce to nearby enemies. - Skill 2 – Rune Prison
Ryze locks an enemy in place and slows them. If the enemy has Flux, they get rooted and can’t move at all. - Skill 3 – Spell Flux
Ryze throws out an orb that damages one enemy and marks others nearby. All his other spells work better on marked targets. - Ultimate – Realm Wrap
Ryze opens a magic portal. After a few seconds, he and his nearby teammates can teleport to a new spot on the map.
