Sony has officially confirmed that five games will leave the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium Game Catalog on June 16, 2026. The games are now visible under the “Last Chance to Play” section on PS5 consoles, giving subscribers limited time to finish them before removal.
The biggest title leaving the service is Red Dead Redemption, which has been one of the most popular games available in the catalog over the last few months.
Full List of Games Leaving PS Plus In June
Here are all five games that will leave the PS Plus Extra and Premium lineup on June 16, 2026:
- Red Dead Redemption
- Journey to the Savage Planet
- Monster Energy Supercross
- After Us
- The Talos Principle 2
Players with active PS Plus Extra or Premium memberships can still access these games until June 15.
Red Dead Redemption’s Short Stay Explained
Red Dead Redemption has joined the PlayStation Plus catalogue on December 2, 2025. So that was on the service for about six months and then it was gone.
Curiously, this deletion comes just a few months after Red Dead Redemption 2 was added to the PS Plus lineup as part of the May 2026 catalogue update.
This is a pattern we have already seen with Rockstar titles. Games like Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 have rotated in and out of subscription services in the past within a few months.
Many fans feel that Rockstar and Take-Two prefer shorter subscription windows to promote direct game purchases later on.
Why Players Should Finish These Games Soon
If you’re a player who hasn’t started Red Dead Redemption yet, now’s the time to jump in before it disappears from the catalogue.
The original game is still one of Rockstar’s best story-driven games. A lot of newer PlayStation players also never experienced John Marston’s story in the PS3 era so this release is quite popular on modern consoles.
Creative gameplay and unique worlds in games like The Talos Principle 2 and Journey to the Savage Planet meanwhile helped build strong fanbases.
More PS Plus Changes Expected Soon
Sony updates the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalogue every month. Some games are going away but new games are expected for the June 2026 update.
Industry insiders said Sony is scheduled to announce the next batch of additions during the first half of June. Fans are waiting to see if more big AAA games will be added to the service next month.
In the meantime, subscribers have a few weeks to enjoy these departing titles before they officially leave the Game Catalogue.
