On Wednesday, 10 June 2026, Stage Five of SBC Summit Americas will feature the Latin America Regulation & Compliance track. The sessions will bring together experts from across the industry to discuss the most pressing issues impacting operators, regulators, and legal teams across the region.
Topics will include tax developments in Brazil and Colombia, Chile’s regulatory progress, strategies for building a secure and sustainable market in Argentina, and the ongoing expansion of iGaming in Mexico.

The opening session, Don’t kill the little guy: The implications of Brazil’s GGR rise, will explore how new tax measures could affect smaller operators. Angelo Alberoni (Partner & COO, A2FBR), William Bonalume (COO, Open Gaming), Frederico Caputti (Managing Director, Brazil Office, Altenar), Iuri R. Castro (Project and Process Management Lead, Caixa), and Marcos Sabiá (CEO, Galerabet) will examine whether increased costs could push local brands out of the market or lead to more international consolidation.
Colombia’s New VAT Policy Under Review
In IVAmos bien! The implications of Colombia’s emergency tax, industry experts will break down the impact of a 19% VAT on online gambling deposits. Evert Montero Cardenas (President, Fecoljuegos) and Iliana Pineda (Chief Compliance Officer, Wplay) will discuss falling operator revenues and the risk of players shifting toward unregulated platforms.
Argentina’s iGaming Sector Faces Growing Public Scrutiny
The session Navigating the PR Labyrinth: Managing Publicity in Argentina’s iGaming Market will focus on communication strategies and industry reputation. Speakers Agustín Li Gambi (Director General de Asuntos Jurídicos, Instituto Provincial de Juegos de Azar de Neuquén), Ezequiel Alejandro Domínguez (Director, LOTBA), and Santiago Gandara (CMO, BetWarrior) will discuss possible advertising bans and how operators can maintain public trust while building a stable market.
Focus on Chile’s Regulation and Mexico’s Growth
Two additional panels will look at emerging opportunities in the region. Is Chile on the Cusp will discuss the country’s journey toward regulation, while Unlocking Growth in Mexican iGaming: Strategies for Revenue and Player Acquisition will examine what is driving expansion in Mexico from both regulatory and commercial perspectives.

SBC Summit Americas is scheduled for June 9 to 11 at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale. Around 10,000 delegates from across the Latin American and US betting and gaming industries are expected to attend.
