GTA fans are counting the days until Rockstar Games drops more details about GTA 6. The hype is real. And while we expect plenty of fresh features, there are some killer elements from GTA 5 Expanded and Enhanced that deserve a comeback.
For those out of the loop, GTA 5 Expanded and Enhanced is the upgraded version of the 2013 classic, built for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. It introduced new features that took the gameplay to another level. Now, imagine if GTA 6 took the best of those and made them even better. Here are five must-have features Rockstar should bring back.
1) Graphics Modes for the Ultimate Experience
GTA 5 Expanded and Enhanced introduced three graphics modes, letting players choose how they experience the game:
- Fidelity Mode – Prioritizes high-quality visuals at 30 FPS.
- Performance Mode – Focuses on smooth gameplay at 60 FPS with upscaled 4K.
- Performance RT Mode – A mix of both, offering 60 FPS with ray tracing.
These options let players decide between jaw-dropping visuals or lightning-fast gameplay. With GTA 6 launching on next-gen consoles, having these modes would be a total game-changer.
2) Career Builder for a Head Start
Jumping into GTA Online as a newbie can feel like being thrown into the deep end. That’s where the Career Builder feature in GTA 5 Expanded and Enhanced comes in. It gives new players $4,000,000 to spend on businesses, vehicles, and weapons—setting them up for success.
While Rockstar hasn’t officially confirmed GTA 6 Online, it’s almost guaranteed. If it happens, a Career Builder system would make things easier for newcomers, keeping the game fun instead of frustrating.
3) HSW Upgrades for Insane Speed
Speed demons loved Hao’s Special Works (HSW) in GTA 5 Expanded and Enhanced. This exclusive upgrade system supercharged certain cars, making them faster than ever.
Now, picture yourself tearing through the streets of Vice City (the rumored setting of GTA 6) in a fully modded, ultra-fast ride. Bringing HSW upgrades to GTA 6 would make car chases and street races even more thrilling.
4) More Wildlife for a Lifelike World
Animals make open-world games feel real and immersive. GTA 5 had them in story mode, but they were missing from Online—until December 2023, when Rockstar finally added them in the Expanded and Enhanced edition.
The first GTA 6 trailer already teased a world brimming with wildlife. But will they be limited to single-player mode? Hopefully not. Imagine an online world where animals roam freely, making Vice City feel alive like never before.
5) Weaponized Vehicles for Epic Battles
One of the coolest cars in GTA 5 Expanded and Enhanced? The Pegassi Weaponized Ignus.
This beast has bulletproof windows, a monstrous engine, and a built-in mini-gun.
GTA 6 could take it up a notch with high-speed, armored vehicles, turning missions and battles into adrenaline-packed showdowns. Stylish yet deadly rides? Count us in.
